  • Holy Ghost Church: Consecrated in 1903, the church, now a listed building is still in use by the parish for Adoration, Weddings..etc, but does not have the capacity for the congregations at Sunday Mass.   • CAFE - Catholic Faith Exploration produces DVD based resources for parishes and schools - see also the CAFE Youth Resources.
  • CAFOD - Catholic Fund for Overseas Development site with details of the Fair Deal for the Poor Millennium campaign - and CAFOD and Confirmation guidelines for catechists.
  • Caritas-social action is the voice of the Catholic Church on social justice and care in England and Wales. It is an agency of the Bishops’ Conference with responsibility for carrying out the social mission of the Church in England and Wales. Together with CAFOD it makes up Caritas England and Wales, part of the Caritas International federation.
  • Catholic Church in England and Wales - official site maintained by Catholic Media Office includes access to the publications issued by the Bishops' Conference in Britain, including recent teachings; papal encyclicals; and, parish resource documents.
  • Catholic Community - site is specifically aimed at the Roman Catholic Community in the British Isles. As such it aims to become a Roman Catholic "Mega Site" for the British Isles.

  • Diocesan Pastoral Plan - the 'Discussion Document' with the suggestions for Larger Pastoral Areas has been published.
  • Douai Abbey and school site - including its Pastoral Programme of talks, workshops, conferences and retreats.
  • EWTN: Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) featuring Catholic Q and A, a Catholic Document Library, an Audio Library, Catholic News, a daily Catholic podcast, programming information for EWTN Television and EWTN radio. Launched on August 15, 1981 by Mother M. Angelica, a Poor Clare nun, cloistered and dedicated to the perpetual Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament, EWTN has become the largest religious media network in the world, transmitting programming 24 hours a day to more than 148 million homes in 144 countries and territories on more than 4,800 cable systems, wireless cable, Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS), low power TV and individual satellite users.
  • Friendsfirst - a proven way to meet Christian friends and potential partners.
  • Gospel Readings - made available on-line by an international team of lay Catholics and volunteers who are eager to spread the Gospel as much as possible.
  • Hantsweb - Hampshire County Council's site.
  • Hermanoleon Clipart - a rich source of free religious images for illustrating the weekly gospel readings.
  • Independent Catholic News - ICN is the first daily Catholic on-line news service in the UK - run by Catholic journalists based in London.
  • Iona Community - an ecumenical Christian community committed to seeking new ways of living the Gospel in today's world.
  • Jubilee Debt Campaign - coalition of regional and local groups and national organisations, supporting the continuation of the Jubilee 2000 debt campaign in the UK to address the problem of World Debt; with links to other sites, such as Drop the Debt and Jubilee Plus, campaigning for justice for the poorest people into the new millennium.
  • Justice and Peace - provides access to catholic social justice teachings.

  • Liturgy of the Hours (The Divine Office) - this massive Universalis project is still under construction but is already in use by Christians of many denominations. See also the liturgical Calendar.
  • Lourdes- English version of the new Sanctuaire Notre-Dame de Lourdes site - also available en français.
  • Marriage Care Web site explains the counselling, support and advisory services provided. Available to the whole community - not just Catholics.
  • Marriage Encounter - Worldwide Marriage Encounter offer weekends of enrichment for married couples, priests and religious, engaged couples and single people.
  • Missio - the new name for the world's largest missionary society (formerly the The Pontifical Mission Societies in England & Wales); incorporating the APF, SPA, MT, and PMU.
